Point 9 - Our charge and marching orders as a solder in this war

This is not a charge that we of our own volition have chosen or derived from our sensibilities. Nor is it a charge based on our righteousness. This is a charge given to us by God, based upon His grace and our purpose as ambassador of the kingdom of God, representing Him, His heart, character and standards. It’s a wartime charge and responsibility given to each of us by God according to His will and purposes.

It is a charge to occupy territory until Jesus returns and to displace the enemy and bring liberty to the captive and expand God's kingdom. We do this by discerning them, dislodging and cast them out. And by recognizing their devices, standing against them and presenting God’s truth in love. This is the charge given to us by God; to occupy, represent Him, exercise domino and expand His kingdom.

The word power used here in the Greek word exooseeah, it means authority. We have given the privilege and backing of heaven to exercise dominion over them in Jesus name. The name of Jesus Invokes heavens backing and power that same way a badge does with a police officer. When he flashes the badge, he is saying I have an entire department and state behind me. When we use the name of Jesus, we are saying we’re not doing this in our name, but in His name. we have dominion in the earth.

When an evil spirit is discerned, we have the authority in Jesus name to cast them out. God is not going to allow us to discern an evil spirit tormenting someone just because he can. Or for us to be able to brag that God uses us and we are great spiritual people. No, He allows us to know these things to do something about it. We are charges to cast the demon out and bring liberty and peace to the person.

However, we currently are live in a society that’s open to other ideologies, doctrines and concepts. The enemy understands this and has sown many devices and concepts that require us to stand against and bring into subjection to God’s word. In many cases they have developed into strongholds that exist in our culture. Nonetheless, we are charged to stand against them and bring them into subject to God’s word. This will not be easy, as many of them speak to people’s sensibilities. You will be rejected, ridiculed and persecuted. But someone will hear the truth and be liberated.

You may say that’s their business, why should I even get involved. We get involved because we represent God for what is right. We are to stand against these things because they are manifestations of the enemy in this war. This is a war that we engage in the sphere of our personal influence. The enemy and his darkness will occupy any area that’s not represented by light. You are there to engage them, stand against sin and injustice for justice and righteousness.  

As we do this, those who give their hearts and lives to God, become territories of God’s kingdom. Remember, this is a war for the souls of humanity. Our souls are territories of dominion. Either it is a territory occupied by the enemy or a territory occupied by God and His kingdom. The ultimate charge and gain in this war is to win the hearts, minds and souls of people into God’s kingdom. This charge is to expand the kingdom of God. Bring liberty and peace to the people.

I use the term process because it will God who will ultimately brings all things in this planet in dominion o his kingdom.  We have our part to play now as ambassadors of God and His chief stewards in the planet. It is our charge and responsibility to engage the enemy in this war and exercise God’s dominion in the earth.
